Steve Martin West Palm Beach Concert reviews
Def Leppard= AWESOME! Poison= DISAPPOINTING!
Getting to a concert on time at the Woodlands Pavillion during the week from Houston is impossible, especially in the rain. Plus the tickets are WAY overpriced. Live Nation/ The Woodlands Pavillion tickets are at least $125 for the front section of reserved seating (30 rows). Where the heck are you supposed to park? I mean, really? Outdoor concerts in Houston in August?? Yuck. This is the dumbest venue. I missed Cheap Trick. Plus there is no parking and all the surrounding businesses and the mall have signs that say, "No event parking."
I was really looking forward to Poison. They were SO disappointing. I've been a fan since the early '90s and they are one of the few rock bands I've never seen in concert. The sound was horrible. Bret sounded very muffled... like he had his hand over the mic or something. You couldn't hear the words to the songs and I could barely understand him when he spoke. Anyway... And why didn't the cameras zoom in on the stage? Bret spent too much time talking about his stupid VH1 shows. I don't even think he was singing half the time. He needs to quit worrying about finding skanks to mess around with and do some more practicing with his band!
Steve Martin made the show worth it. All of the band members have really held up well over the almost 30 years they have been performing. They obviously appreciate their fans which is always great to see! They really engaged the crowd and put their all in to performing. Great setlist. I love that they hung around on stage after the show was over to shake hands with fans and throw out guitar picks. This was my second time to see them and they never disappoint.
